Festifools Costume
This Sunday is Festifools, a wonderful, fun, grand and amazing parade that springs up right around April Fools day. My paper engineering class is walking in the parade and we are required to make our own costumes using tyvek. The goal: to walk in stark white costumes wearing all black underneath. Of course, I am using my patterns and decided to make myself a skirt sash combo. What do you think?

Cedric Tai

I met with the coolest artist today. His name is Cedric Tai and his is a native of Detroit. His art is super cool and ranges from paintings, geometric sculptures, prints, wood...everything! Here are a few examples of his work.

We talked for over an hour and gave me such great feedback on my project, patterns, and even gave me ideas for what to do to continue my work after IP is over. I am so excited and have so many new ideas. Check him out, he is amazing!

I have returned!
Hello anyone who may or may not be out there! I have decided to return. A little update is in order. First I must apologize for disappearing for way too long...like over 6 months (bites fist). I am almost done with my last year at U of M and have been working on my senior IP show. I have been drawing a lot and makinggeometric paper sculptures... and am in love with them. Here are some drawings from my sketchbook for you to drool over.

In other news, I have decided that after I graduate I plan on staying in Ann Arbor for the summer and then I am moving to (drumroll please)........ CHICAGO! Thats right world, this NYC girl is movin' to a midwestern city! I am so excited and have no actual plans as of now, but my main priority is LIVING LIFE! I promise to update about my show as well as future plans, fun things more often.

Long time no post
So my bucket list for the summer more or less failed. I have, however gotten myself an internship with an amazing company called Paperless Post which has opened my eyes to the world of web design. I am doing customer service and have learned so much. This company is an online stationary site and has really amazing invitations, announcements, save the dates, note cards and greeting cards, all which you can do online. Whats amazing is how real the image looks of grained paper.

This was the invitation I used for my 22nd birthday party!
Anyways, thats what I am really up to this summer. My internship ends this Friday and then Saturday I get my wisdom teeth pulled (DUN DUN DUNNNNN). After that I go up to Yiddish Vokh (yiddish week retreat) hosted by Yugntruf. It should be loads of fun. Then Leah and I head to Ann Arbor where I will reunite with my housemates and start my senior year! I am so excited for this year to start, its out of control!
